Post-Flood Handling in East Jakarta is Targeted to Finish in a Week

East Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar targeted to finish post-flood handling in the region within this week.

"I have instructed all sub-districts to do post-flood handling simultaneously, even some of them have done it since yesterday," he stated, Monday (2/22).

According to him, there were 18 urban villages affected by flood on last Friday and Saturday.

Dozens of Training Participants to Help Post-flood Handling

Especially in Cipinang Melayu, 250 joint personnel had been deployed to collaborate with local residents to clean up after flood.

"After cleaned up the environment, we will continue to carbolize and spray the area with disinfectant. It is done to kill germs or bacteria after flood because we don't want disease after the flood," he asserted.

Because it is still in pandemic, post-flood handling must comply with health protocols. His side didn't want new cluster to occur in this post-flood period. Moreover, post-flood handling should be completed as soon as possible in all points affected by flood.

"Especially for mud and garbage, everything must be clean. Don't let new disease to occur in the community," he closed.
